Don’t miss Show Stopper’s ad featuring another stunning rose petal carpet inspired by Navajo weavings.  Here are some other wonderful images.

Ken’s centerpiece is jaw-dropping gorgeous.  He used mounds of orange pin cushion protea, lavender stock, gold cymbidium orchids and deep red roses. If ever a floral design could be called sexy, this is it.  HOT.

L'Auberge Rose Petal CarpetHere is our latest rose petal carpet.  We were inspired by patterns seen in jeweled Egyptian collars.  ( An idea picked up by watching old movies.)

Creekside L'Auberge Rose Petal Carpet  Guests are always intrigued when they enter an area and come upon designs like this for the first time.  From a distance they can’t often relate to just what the design is.  When they get closer and realize it is thousands of rose petals, they are astonished.

Rose Petal Carpet DetailThis close up is so cool.  Katrina said it looks like a road of rose petals going around a bend.

Sedona Wedding Shoot at L’Auberge…  Fabulous Bridal Bouquet

Sedona Bridal BouquetHere is the exquisite bouquet.  Ken’s creation features gloriosa lilies, bougainvillea, pin cushion protea, heather and hypericum berries.  Ken’s signature designs spill with texture, depth and color.

Sedona Bride and GroomWe love this image.  Katrina got it all.  What color, composition and intimacy.

Wait until you see what’s next!  Jim was inspired while watching one of his favorite movies, “The Ten Commandments.”  He got this idea during one of the opening scenes.  Princess Nefertiti, while reclining on a balcony, plucks flowers from a lovely garland of acacia and anemones to shower her Prince as he entered the city among the adoring crowds shouting ” Moses! Moses!  This boa sports 1000 daffodils.  Outrageous.

Sedona Bride and Groom / Daffodil Boa

 Sedona Groom / Boa

Katrina thought it would be fun to let the groom wear the boa too. What a sport.  Blake was eager to comply.  Everyone comments how wonderfully the golden yellow pops against the beige color of the winter grasses in Oak Creek Canyon.

This was actually the second daffodil garland Jim has made. The first was designed years ago for a sculpture in the courtyard of the Jr. League building in Houston. He made it for a wedding reception and brunch honoring the Duchess of  Windsor the following day.

We will close with this shot of several of us on the Show Stopper’s team installing the carpet.Events By Show Stoppers TeamOh, one more thing.  People always ask what happens to all those rose petals…Sedona Bride and Groom / Raining PetalsPhoenix Bride and Groom Magazine was so inspired by this shoot that they honored Show Stoppers by asking us to design their 10th Anniversary Gala held at the Arizona Grand Resort on June 3rd.  We were thrilled to be working along side Victoria Canada Weddings and Events who oversaw every detail to perfection.  Here is another chance to see the SLIDE SHOW HERE:

Sedona Wedding Packages Offered At Tlaqepaque

Nectar Design…

Tlaquepaque’s Official

Wedding Florist

For those of you who may not know, Ken and I also own Nectar Design in Tlaquepaque.  Our store is located in Suite A.114.

Sedona Wedding Planner

Nectar offers competitively priced wedding packages that are custom designed for brides being married at Tlaquepaque.  (Show Stoppers also has great packages for brides being married at other venues in Sedona. )

To keep prices reasonable,  Nectar’s floral packages are designed to streamline wedding services by eliminating time consuming personal appointments and replacing them with phone and/ or on-line conferencing.  This saves everyone time including the brides and eliminates the need to travel to Sedona just to make simple flower choices.  No personal appointments are scheduled for brides wanting our exclusive packages.  Phone conferencing with designers is of course available anytime with pre-arranged scheduling.  Photos, price lists, booking information and reservation forms are available at Nectar Design or via e-mail.  Sales associates will be happy to provide this material but will not be available for lengthy discussions.  All information is provided in the information they provide.

Not all brides will want a wedding package. Those brides may choose to have custom bouquets with more involved services and discuss their needs with one of our designers.  Budgets, as always, depend on flower choices, season and availability.

The big bonus is that Tlaquepaque brides have the convenience and confidence of an “on property” wedding floral service that focuses on them.  By having an “in house” service that provides flowers exclusively for Tlaquepaque brides, prices can be kept reasonable and the wedding day worry free.

More involved weddings needing services not provided by Nectar Design will be directed to Events By Show Stoppers.  While Nectar Design is a different company, flowers will never the less be filled by the same superb designers that have earned Show Stoppers the reputation we enjoy.

This is a great opportunity for Tlaquepaque brides who want to choose from our different packages to have gorgeous flowers at substantial savings without compromising the quality of the flowers.  Please call Show Stoppers at 928-203-9096 for information or stop by Nectar Design in Tlaquepaque Suite A.114.

Show Stoppers Designs The Phoenix Bride And Groom Anniversary Gala

On June 3rd, the most wonderful event took place at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix.  It was the 10th Anniversary Gala for Phoenix Bride and Groom magazine.  Please visit the magazine here:   It all began in a photo shoot with the renowned artists, Katrina Wallace and Andrew Mejia, of Sedona Bride. See: SedonaBride.com. Everything just seemed to click and came together really fast.  Don’t miss the slide show of the photo shoot and the gala!  All the images really tell the story how everything evolved in such a special way.  See the SLIDE SHOW HERE:  bride and groomOne of the shots made the cover, which inspired the colors of the event.  Show Stoppers was asked to design the festivities.  The unbelievably talented event and wedding coordinator, Victoria Canada, worked with Show Stoppers and the results were over the top.  Visit Victoria here:

We began this project with a 16,000 square foot empty room at the wonderful Arizona Grand Resort.   Please visit:  arizonagrandresort.com

Phoenix Bride & Groom 006Our job was to transform the space with the use of fabric draping, painted backdrops, lighting effects and, of course, flowers.  The first thing was to draw a floor plan to scale.

Victoria came up with the brilliant idea of dividing the room into two parts so the guests could gather in the first third of the tent and watch interviews on large screens while having cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres.   A wall of sheer, white, billowing fabric was erected with an entry to the rest of the tent constructed of truss and fabrics in the middle of the fabric wall.  The entry doubled as a stage where Fran Samuel, her staff, Victoria, Ken and I were introduced to the crowd.  We used a black and white theme in the gathering room.  The idea was to have guests in a temporary but elegant black and white setting.   Then, after the program, follow the juggler and stilt walker into the main room through the entry portal into a world of amazing color…. sort of like Dorothy opening the farmhouse door and stepping into the wonderful world of OZ.  It worked!

Below is the view from the black and white room looking through the entry. As guests entered, they could go to the right or left around the colorful arch backdrops at which time the magnificent room was revealed.  Notice the incredible matching floral displays Ken designed in the entry with submerged golden barrel cactus and vividly colored tropical flowers.  bdride and groom They were a hit to say the least.   As guests walked around the backdrop, this is what they saw.

We love this shot of Ken’s centerpiece with the room in the background. Notice the rose petal carpet under the ariel performer’s rigging!

The rose petal carpet was 20 feet in diameter and required 2000 roses in three colors.  It took 5 people 2 hours to make.  It took the ariel entertainer only minutes to muss.

Our friend, Andrea Blaut, owner of Sedona Cake Couture designed the cake and matched my color scheme perfectly.  This cake was a stunning 5 ft. tall multi-flavored masterpiece.  Visit Andrea at: sedonacakes.com

The Bride’s Cafe features Show Stoppers for the third time!

The team at Show Stoppers are just overwhelmed by the generosity, interest and recognition we have received from the media, national wedding blogs, numerous Arizona bridal publications, national bridal magazines and the special events industry.  This spring and summer has been a banner year.   Now, in our third appearance, The Bride’s Cafe, one of the most popular blogs in the industry, has featured yet another one of our Sedona Weddings.  Thank you Janie for this great honor and for appreciating what we are doing.

The wedding of Heather and Matt was truly a special one.  Heather gave us the colors and literally said, “do whatever you want.  I trust you.”  Now that’s the way to get an artist’s attention.  Don’t miss this feature on TBC.  It’s worth a moment of your time.

Hope you enjoy what we did.  Visit the Bride’s Cafe HERE:

Oh, after you see the images, just take a look at the wonderful comments about Katrina and Andrew’s photography and our design work.  There are a lot of nice people out there.  Thank you all for your interest and for visiting Show Stoppers.  You can return to Show Stoppers website HERE: Jim and Ken
